Projects Developed by Hammerwood Films
Hammerwood Film Productions in conjunction with Pan European Films are currently compiling a slate of low budget television projects and documentaries in which interested parties are invited to participate.
Working together, these three companies have already spent considerable time and resources in pre-production and have obtained substantial financial backing in addition to distribution or pre-sales agreements.
Potential investors are therefore invited to participate in these and other projects whereby the shortfalls can be fulfilled.
Each documentary episode is calculated at approximately £60,000 each. Suggested minimum investment in the documentaries is £10,000 per project.
The four main features at this stage are:
- 'Boadicea - A Celtic Tragedy'© (documentary 1 x 52mins)
The most highly advanced of the three - the story of the great Iceni uprising under Queen Boudicca in AD61 which forever altered the course of British history. Currently this project is fully financed for the first 60 minute episode, but with further backing, may be extended to 6x30 minute episodes.
The documentary on Boadicea currently in pre-production is anticipated to be a platform for a vastly larger project entitled ‘Boadicea - Queen of Death’©, a major movie currently under negotiation with leading stars in Hollywood.
With the revival of great blockbusters such as ‘Gladiator’ recently and the previous success of ‘Braveheart’, the scene is now set internationally to extol the virtues of one of the greatest female warriors to emerge from history. ‘Boadicea - Queen of Death’© will undoubtedly attract the attention of a major Hollywood actress seeking the ultimate role!
- 'A Symphony of Spies'© (documentary 6 x 52mins)
Engenders pathos and sorrow of the fateful wartime years of 1939-1945, combined with acts of great heroism and self sacrifice. The stories presented are all true, incorporating espionage and intrigue, some of which will defy belief. Series can be extended.
- 'The Ghosthunter'© (documentary 1 x 52mins)
A factual documentary based on the life story of a national exorcist whose life has been beset with the occult since his early years. Incredible stories together with eyewitness accounts will follow the extraordinary adventures of this unique man. Series can be extended due to the vast casebook available.
- 'Maison D'Amour'© (comedy/drama 90mins)
In addition to the documentaries, an unusual film script has been created. An erotic comedy set within a unique bordello that defies scrutiny, it embraces all the parameters of success in a movie - sex, humour, drama and action, ensuring that this movie will have universal appeal.
Anticipated budget: £3-£3.5million - open to major investors only.
Inevitably themes and genres come and go, but the documentary on matters of topical interest never disappears. With ready markets such as History Channel, Horizon and Discovery, and in the wave of anticipated new channels, and International demand, the television market will continue to expand into the 21st Century.
Caveat:
Everybody involved and currently working on these projects have complete faith in their profitability - a great deal of time and money having been invested into them, plus the raising of private backing to an extent of £60,000 to date. However, we feel obliged to point out that the market can change overnight, and there is always an element of risk in an investment within the media, which is why these four completely diverse projects have been chosen for this particular portfolio.
Film financing is really for major players, who will calculate the risks and potential profit element involved. We strongly recommend that personal or life savings should NOT be invested.
